University Lecturer in economics

Your role and goals

The position is in the field of economics. Taking into account your specific expertise, the job involves teaching courses in economics at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, thesis supervison, and independent research. You will also contribute to the planning and management of courses, curriculum design, development of teaching, student tutoring and administrative tasks. The language of teaching is mostly English so the applicants are expected to have high proficiency in English. While the emphasis of the post is on teaching, the lecturer is expected to conduct research and follow up the development of their own field.

The position will be filled at either University Lecturer or Senior University Lecturer level.  Applicants must hold a doctoral degree. The job is located at the Aalto University campus in Otaniemi, Espoo. The salary will be determined according to the salary scales of the General collective agreement for universities, on requirement level OV06 or OV07.
