Nicole Franziska Richter 


Dr. habil. Nicole Franziska Richter is an Associate Professor of International Business at the University of Southern Denmark. Richter received her PhD (on Internationalization and Firm Performance) from University of Hamburg (in 2009) and was awarded with the 'Wolfgang-Ritter'-Award for excellent research (in 2013). She received her habilitation (state doctorate) (on Determinants of Success in International Business) from TU Hamburg (in 2015). Prior to joining SDU in 2017, she held a Professorship of International Management at Nordakademie Graduate School in the Northern part of Germany.


Her research has a quantitative orientation and she makes contributions to the application and development of research methods in international business / management research. She is one of the leading experts in the field of PLS structural equation modeling and an ambassador for Necessary Condition Analysis. Her publications have appeared in journals, such as Journal of World Business, Journal of International Management, International Business Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Long Range Planning.

Fang Zheng


Fang ZHENG began working at the University of Agder as a PhD Research Fellow in April 2022. Shortly after that, she joined the Cotutelle and Joint PhD program between UiA and University of Southern Denmark. Her primary research interests include international business policy, global virtual team performance, and the combined usage of Necessary Condition Analysis with PLS-SEM.


Prior to joining UiA, Fang worked for the Norwegian Embassy (Innovation Norway) in Beijing, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and the Hungarian Embassy in Beijing. Throughout her academic and professional experiences, cross-border trade and investment activities have been the central focus of her work.

Fang ZHENG completed her Master's degree in International Business Negotiation from Rennes School of Business, France in 2019.
