Instructors Profile


Ziaul Haque Munim is Associate Professor of Maritime Logistics at the Faculty of Technology, Natural and Maritime Sciences at the University of South-Eastern Norway. His main research interests include maritime logistics, supply chain management, forecasting and research methods. He holds a PhD degree in International Management from the University of Agder and MSc degree in Supply Chain Management from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He has extensive traning in Structural Equation Modeling from the University of Oslo and University of Cambridge. Further, he has a diploma in Global Transport Challenges from the University of Oxford. Follow his research on researchgate.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This on-demand online course presents basic statistical analysis concepts and their applications using the SPSS software. The course is organized into five modules. Module 1 presents an introduction to SPSS. Module 2 shows data visualization. Module 3 shows common descriptive statistics analysis. Module 4 covers hypothesis testing using mean comparison tests. Module 5 demonstrates ordinary least squares (OLS) regression and test of its assumptions. At the end of each module there is an MCQ exercise to test your understanding of the topics covered.
